However, visits from the patient&#8217;s own children may be permitted subject to infection control principles, as these can have a positive effect on recovery.<\/span>\n    <\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"zk-icon\"><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\"><path d=\"M9 12l2 2 4-4\"\/><path d=\"M12 2a10 10 0 100 20A10 10 0 0012 2z\"\/><\/svg><\/div>\n<p>      <span>Visits may be restricted when the attending physician has not permitted visiting, during community outbreaks, or for immunocompromised patients. As these carry an infection risk, they are not accepted in patient wards.
