Visiting Rules
-
Patient visits are conducted within visiting hours. Visiting hours have been arranged taking into account the care and rest times of our patients.
-
Please ensure that visit duration is limited to 10 minutes and that no more than 2 visitors are present in the room at any one time.
-
Please use your mobile phones on silent mode within the medical centre.
-
Persons with symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing or phlegm, those with known infectious diseases, and children under 12 should wherever possible not be brought to patient visits. However, visits from the patient’s own children may be permitted subject to infection control principles, as these can have a positive effect on recovery.
-
Visits may be restricted when the attending physician has not permitted visiting, during community outbreaks, or for immunocompromised patients. Please do not insist in such circumstances.
-
Smoking is prohibited within all healthcare facilities.
-
Please do not bring food or beverages from outside in order to protect your patient’s health.
-
Please do not bring potted plants or bouquet flowers to be placed in vases. As these carry an infection risk, they are not accepted in patient wards. Flowers brought in will be collected by reception and handed to your patient upon discharge.
-
During your visit, please take care not to touch items/surfaces in the environment or equipment connected to the patient, and not to sit on the patient’s bed.
-
Please pay careful attention to hand hygiene before and after your visit; wash and/or disinfect your hands.
-
If you see a warning sign on the patient room door, do not enter without first speaking to the nurse.
-
When contact with an isolated patient is required, please follow the isolation instructions given by healthcare personnel according to the category of isolation.
-
Please respect the privacy of the patient and their relatives during your visit.
